Through mentored internship, Genesis Block helps students develop understanding in these areas.
- The Business Team focuses on the business aspects of Bitcoin and Blockchain
- The Technical Team focuses on Blockchain technology and software development.
- First half of the program
- Students build understanding of Bitcoin through discussion and reading of The Bitcoin Standard, by Saifedean Ammous
- We build Domain Models for the Function and History of Money
- We put Bitcoin into context to appreciate its extraordinary value as digital property
- We work collaboratively as one team
Phase 2: Special Topics
- Second half
- Technical and Business Teams take shape during this Phase
- Students explore self-defined Special Topics in Bitcoin and Blockchain
- Teams continue to collaborate, as would be expected in Business
Business Team
Our Business Analysis Team will work as a cohesive unit to perform coordinated Web3 Business and Market Analysis and Use Case development:
- Adoption of Bitcoin
- Institutional Reports
- NFT Use Cases for Business
- Upcoming Regulation
As part of the this team, you will investigate a topics of interest to you. We will create intellectual property which will be used to inform and educate a wider audience, including potential customers and investors.
Technical Team
Our Software Development Team will work together to investigate Web3 software application development techniques and opportunities:
- On-Blockchain Metrics
- Blockchain Programming Fundamentals
- Smart Contract Monitoring
- NFT Technology
As part of the Software Development Team, you will be participate in research, design and development of software proofs-of-concept and tools.

I am proud of the work that I have done at Red Sky Research. I enjoyed the work I have done with my teammates. The internship gave me an experience that I can show to future employers.
Working with other members in a team helped me experience what it is like to work with others in the workplace. I worked with others to develop concept maps that demonstrated our comprehension of both the financial and technical concepts of cryptocurrencies.
Learning about how to work with people, most of whom I didn’t know all too well, like this was the best part of the internship for me.
Each day during this senior experience, I looked forward to researching topics I was genuinely interested in. That was one of my favorite parts! I felt that each day was very productive, and I always felt successful after each meeting
